Bid Protests - Federal bid protests require very specific procedures that must be followed. The process frequently requires detailed legal justifications for protest as well as an intimate knowledge of FAR and other federal regulations. We are here to help.
Terminations - The federal government has wide discretion to terminate its contractors. However, contractors are often entitled to recover additional sums as a result. The forms and process is specific and must be done in a timely manner. Let us help you put together a complete and defensible settlement proposal.
Requests for Equitable Adjustments - Equitable Adjustments for federal contracts require a lot of detail and clearly argued justification. Far more than most change orders, the government will need proper documentation and arguments to justify these additional sums and time.

Bid Protests - California public procedures for bid protests require a knowledge of both state and local requirements. The timeline for protest is extremely short, rarely more than three days. Proper formatting, argumentation, and documentation are essential for a successful bid protest. Let us help you put together the best possible protest.
Terminations - Whether it needs to be done or has been done to you, terminations are messy affairs. We can help you navigate through this challenging process and recover what you are rightly entitled to.
Change Orders - Unlike most private projects, change order requests for public works require much more justification. Luke E. Thompson, Esq. has deep roots in the San Diego East County area. He went to El Capitan in Lakeside for High School, graduated from San Diego Christian College and attended the University of San Diego for law school. Working for and with San Diego contractors and subcontractors as a project manager, in operations, and as an attorney, he has a wide network of clients he assists with navigating the waters for private, public, and federal contracts. His passion is to help contractors succeed in bid protests, change order negotiations, mechanic’s liens actions, stop payment notices, claims, REAs, and more —getting paid a fair price for a fair day of work.
